O' the greatest love

When I think how difficult
Yet so easy it was
For God to love man so much
It pleased Him to redeem
Sinners like you and me
That He could willingly give His Son.

When I think how difficult
It must have been to count
The blameless amongst dacoits and thieves
Yet it pleased God so much
To punish Jesus because of our sins.

When I think how difficult
It must have been to take
All our sins and put it on Christ
And to take His Righteousness and put it on us
And despite all the pains we give
Yet smiling God says "I love you so much".

When I think how difficult it all must have been
I know the only sane way to live
Is to accept His love
Is to accept His forgiveness
Is to start all over again
And be a new creation in Him.

  1. Simple yet interesting poem. Indeed The Almighty
casts his blessings to the most sinful....
